THE MOVEMENT
Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected as outraged as those who are. - Ben Franklin
HTMovement1 is a movement birthed in 2014 to educate coomunities through the avenues of the arts and education on the rising epidemic of human trafficking.
This movement allows for us to take the ground-breaking theatrical production "Hidden", "Hidden Monologues", Community Awareness Rallies, and culturally focused curriculum across the nation to the areas highly affected by this issue.
We aim to educate and inspire global change and to be able to speak up and out for victims of human trafficking who remain silenced and hidden.

THE EDUCATION FACTOR
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. - Nelson Mandela
One of the key elements of this movement is education and awareness. Over the past several years, we have partnered with various anti-human trafficking coalitions, government agencies, and victim services organization. We pride our efforts on being trained and educated from experts on this issue, that way we can educate the public.
Our vehicle of education is through theatrical productions, community rallies, seminars, culturally focused curriculum/brochures, and social media. Though our methods seem a little unorthodox we have seen people's eyes and awareness bolden on human trafficking as a result.
The more we educate and bring awareness to others, the closer we become in setting victims free and bring closure to this horrific crime.

THE FACTS
“Human trafficking robs victims of their fundamental human rights, and it occurs right under our noses. Many efforts have been focused in other regions of the world, but this is a major problem here at home.” – Blake Farenthold
We are living in a where modern-day slavery has become more profitable than illegal drug distribution, grossing approximately $150 billion in a year. These billions of dollars are made off of the lives of approximately 30 million modern-day slaves which are induced into labor and sex trafficking as young as eleven years old.
Though the statistics may vary because this is such a hidden crime, what we do however understand and hold to be evident is that no man, woman, or child should be subject to a lifestyle of modern-day slavery.
